Charity Fundraising at Ridgeway academy
Ridgeway Academy supports various charities throughout the Academic year. Here are some of the charities we have supported and continue to support. Ridgeway Academy is always seeking charities to support throughout the academic year.

For the past two years we have worn yellow to raise awareness for young people’s mental health. We have completed a fun run, sold cakes and had a photo competition.
Through our house system at the end of the Christmas term we hold an annual charity day. There have been giant obstacle courses, the headteachers quiz and a Christmas fair.
October 2021 saw the first year that we wore pink and sold cakes to raise money for Breast Cancer.
Dementia UK was a new Charity that we raised money for this year. Students served cake and tea to staff during the day in return for a donation to Dementia UK.
Staff and Sixth form joined in the worlds biggest coffee morning raising valuable funds for Macmillan Cancer support.
